You can delete your Anketta account yourself, in the app, at any time. Deletion happens at once; it is not a request that waits in a queue.

How to delete your account in the app

Open Anketta and sign in.
Go to Profile and expand the Danger Zone section.
Tap Delete profile. The app asks you to say in a few words what made you leave, and to type your email. If your account has no email of its own, for example because you only sign in with Telegram, type the word DELETE instead.
Tap Delete permanently. The account is deleted at once.

What is deleted

Deleted at once and for good, among other things:

your manuscript and all its versions;
matches, messages and reactions;
the likes and passes you gave in the feed;
profile photos, including the stored files;
age verification records;
your underlines and cross-outs on other people's manuscripts, and what the feed learned about you from them;
passkeys, connected sign-in methods (such as Telegram) and device records;
notification settings and the bot's permission to message you.

Your saved card is deleted, and an active subscription is cancelled with the payment provider before any data is removed, so you won't be charged again.

What is kept, and why

Deleting an account does not erase every trace. Some records we are required to keep or have chosen to keep. Among them:

Payment records, anonymised and no longer linked to you. Tax law requires transaction records to be kept for at least five years, and they are needed for payment disputes.
The account record itself, without your name, email, city, gender or age. Your email is freed, so you can sign up again later.
Sign-in history, unlinked from the account. It is deleted automatically after 180 days.
If the account had active moderation warnings, a record of them (email and device fingerprint), so a new signup doesn't reset them.
An anonymised usage record: how long the account existed, how it was used and the reason you gave for leaving. It holds no email, name, city, IP address or device identifiers.
A published review, only if you chose to keep it when deleting. It stays anonymous, without your name, city or a link to your profile.
Encrypted database backups. They are kept for up to two years and deleted on a schedule.

If you can't sign in

Write to [email protected] from the email your account uses, or through the Contact page. If you signed in with Telegram, include your Telegram username. We'll ask you to confirm the account is yours and delete it the same way the app does.
