On phones, the "Take photo" step of age verification now opens a full-screen camera with the document overlay, a centered shoot button, and a back button in the top-left corner — making it far easier to align your passport or ID. Desktop and the selfie step are unchanged.

Fixed a 500 error when starting on-device age verification — the document scanner now reliably begins an attempt instead of failing with a server error.

Age verification now works entirely on your device. Choose your document type (passport or driving licence), align it using the camera overlay and editor, and our on-device scanner verifies your identity — no photos leave your phone. If automatic verification can't confirm your identity after two attempts, you'll be guided through a manual review process.
