A typo caught before the code goes out
One letter out of place in your email and the code goes to nobody — you would sit watching an inbox that was never going to fill. The sign-in screen now catches it first: type an address ending `gmail.con` and it asks whether you meant `gmail.com`. Take the correction or keep what you wrote; either way you are through on the next tap.
The hints under the email field now match the site you opened, too. The Russian one puts the providers you actually use first; the international one leads with the ones you would expect. Start typing any other and it still turns up — nothing is hidden, only reordered.
